Research for Better Teaching is dedicated to the professionalism of teaching and works to strengthen the organizational culture and institutionalize the study of teaching within schools. This day-long session will help coaches connect the instructional core to the professional knowledge base on teaching and learn skills to support principals in their efforts to work with teachers on developing behaviors and skills that communicate high expectations and promote student mastery.

Recognizing that leadership development is crucial for individual and organizational success, the mission of the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) is to advance the understanding, practice and development of leadership for the benefit of society worldwide. This session draws on the Center's deep understanding of the effectiveness of assessment, feedback and support - three elements critical to effective coaching.  Participants will learn and practice the skills of this coaching model.
